Frederick Buddell Longstaff

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father Fred Longstaff.

After a brief illness, Fred, age 74 years, passed away at The Guelph General Hospital with his family by his side. Beloved husband and lifelong best friend of Margie (Hasson) Longstaff of 53 years, and cherished father to Julie Bowman and Jerry Longstaff all of Guelph. He was known as Poppa to Stephanie, Amanda, Kaitlynn (Steve), and Jaymee, and as Pops to Jennifer (Bob) and Tyson. He was Great Poppa to Maverick, Daxton, Lorelai, Jocelyn, Brody, Rowen, Hunter and Ryder. Dear brother to Debbie Beatty and James Kerr. Loving brother-in-law to Tom Hasson (Peggy), Donny Hasson (Doris), Ken Hasson (Gracie), and Bill Hasson (Debbie). Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Fred will be missed by many friends, many of whom were lifelong.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel 1099 Gordon Rd, Guelph where friends and family can join the family for visitation on Sunday November 20, 2022, from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm and Monday November 21, 2022 from 10:00-11:00am. A funeral will be held on Monday November 21 at 11:00am in the Hart Chapel with burial to follow at Marymount Cemetery in Guelph to be followed by a reception in the Hart Fellowship Lounge where all are welcome to come and share their stories of love and laughter and their memories of Fred.
