Giuseppe Joseph Dametto

DAMETTO, Giuseppe (Joseph)— Passed away, with family at his side, at the LaPointe Fisher Nursing Home, Guelph on Thursday, February 12, 2015. Joseph Dametto, aged 80 years, was the beloved husband of the late Teresina Emma (nee Baseggio) Dametto (December 9, 2005). He was the loving father of Paul, John and Randy (Roberta), all of Guelph. Joseph is survived by his siblings Mina (Angelo) Polo and Giovanni Dametto, all of Guelph, and by Maria Dametto and brother-in-law Edoardo (Claudia) Baseggio of Selva Del Montello, Italy, and by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Joseph is predeceased by siblings Angelo (Teresa), Luigi (Rina), Bortolo, Maria, Teresa, Natalina, Giuseppina and Tarsilla, and by his parents Cesare and Gioconda (nee Cararo) Dametto. Special thanks to the second floor staff at LaPointe Fisher Nursing Home for their loving care, compassion and support of Joseph for the past two years. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Monday, February 16, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Joseph will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 8:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John’s Church, 45 Victoria Rd. N., Guelph, on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
