John Crawley

CRAWLEY, John Frederick, D.V.M., PhD., At the Guelph General Hospital on Thursday, May 27, 2010. Dr. John F. Crawley in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Joan A. (O'Brien) Crawley. Dear father of Brian and his wife Barbara, and Michael, all of Guelph, and Jacqueline and her husband Matthew Ewing of Toronto. Loved grandfather of Gregory (Jennifer) Crawley, Angela Crawley, Michelle (Steve Shragge), Christine Crawley, Catherine Crawley, John Ewing and great-grandfather of Lauren Crawley and Samuel Shragge. Distinguished researcher with Connaught Laboratory, University of Toronto, and lead researcher for the development of over 40 animal and human vaccines. Holder of the OVC Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2009. He was also the former Reeve of Puslinch Township. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Sunday, May 30, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A vigil service will be held on Sunday at 3:30pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 31, 2010 at Church of Our Lady at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow.
