KOOPMANS, John [Johannes]— Surrounded by his family at his home in Guelph, on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. John Koopmans, age 78 years, beloved husband of Rita (Seiler) Koopmans. Dear father of Oskar (Laura McCormack) of Guelph; Rita (Larry) Rinaldo of Burlington; Greta (Peter) Gartner of Guelph and the late Robert (1990). Loved grandfather of Stacey (Mike); Andrew; Kelsey; Elizabeth; Kaitie; Lisa; Tanya; Alison and Sheila and great-grandfather of John Michael; Lillian; Oliver; Gwen and Anthony. Dear brother of Audrey (John) Mazzetti of Guelph and the late Grace Klaver and the late Catherine Rukavina. Dear brother-in-law of the late Franz Seiler (Anna) of Germany; late Heribert Seiler (Anneliese) of Kitchener; Elizabeth (late Joachin) Haffner of Germany and Oskar Seiler (Christine) of Kitchener. Survived also by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, (Saturday, August 24 from 7-9 p.m. and again on Sunday, August 25 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.). Family Vigil on Sunday at 2 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph, on Monday, August 26, at 11 o’clock. Cremation to follow.
