It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since we lost our beloved Joyce Beverly Hinds. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Hospice Wellington in Guelph, Ontario on August 6th, 2023 at the age of 79. Cremation has since taken place.
She was the loving mother to Ken (Kathy), Charlene (Bruce), Geraldine, Tammy (Kevin). Grandmother to Christopher, Tim, Ryan (Courtney), Ashleigh (Wes), Jeff, Gavin, Chandler, Ashlar, Lauren, and Marcin. Great Grandmother to Lark, Felim, Miles, Lua (and now Mason)
Sister to Marie† (Ray†) Tom†, Niece (Edward†) Mag (Karl†) Nell (Joe†) Mike† (Helen), Jack†, Ken (Barb†) Anna Mae†, Pat (Gerry), Joan† (Glen†), Joe (Donna), Jim, Bob, Shirley†, Gerald. Aunt and Great Aunt to so many nieces and nephews.
Life will never be the same without her. We enjoyed her presence at many euchre games, line dances, birthdays, school concerts, holidays, cottages, family reunions, travelling adventures, and all those "just because" visits.
She showed her love in so many ways. One of them being through her excellent homemade cakes, pies, chilli sauce and delicious meals.
She was the one you would want to call when you had something happy or sad to talk about.
She was the one who listened without judgement, said exactly what you needed to hear and made you feel loved and validated. She was the one to always give a good laugh and make you feel better after simply hearing her voice.
She was an incredibly generous, honest, forgiving and kind person.
She loved like no other and is dearly missed.
An intimate family ceremony was held at the Hospice Wellington on the day of her passing with songs and speeches and tearful sentimental goodbyes.
It has been an honour to know her and losing her has taught us to love better, hug those we love a little longer, value the little things and not take life too seriously.
