Leonard Augustine Gage Woods

Woods, Leonard Augustine (Gage) Len Woods, in his 92nd year of Guelph, formerly of Niagara Falls passed away peacefully at Lapointe Fisher Nursing Home on Thursday March 5, 2009. Len was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Vi (Searle) on April 6, 2008. Dear father to Bev, Bob (Clover) and Paul (Kelly). Adored grandpa to Bree, Josh and Sheldon. Len was predeceased by his parents George Alexander and Ida Cecile Woods and his brothers Harry, George, Kenneth and Alf and his sister Grace O'Donnell. Len was a veteran of WWII and a member of the 47th battery. Len is survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Redwood of Michigan and brothers-in-law Arthur Searle of St. Catharines and William Searle of Welland as well as many nieces and nephews. Private cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Gilbert Macintyre and Son Funeral Home, "Dublin Chapel", 252 Dublin Street, North, Guelph on Sunday March 8, 2009 from 7-9pm. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Church of Our Lady, 28 Norfolk Street, Guelph on Monday March 9, 2009 at 9:30a.m. The ashes will be placed in Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
