Louise was the beloved wife of Jack (2003). They spent 53 years together, raising their children, traveling and living abroad, golfing and watching their grandchildren grow.
She was the little sister to George Norris (1978), Tom Norris (1977) and Anne (Lenore) Mulder (2018).
She was the dear mother of Gary Thornton (Brenda) of St. Thomas, Wendy Switzer (Ben) of Guelph, and Gail Thornton of Orillia.
Louise was the dearly loved grandma of Bianca Sarmazian (Raffi), Kelly Foster (Al), Jacquie Fell (Craig), Josie Quigley (Andrew) and Matt Quigley (Jenny).
She was a very proud Great Grandma (GG) to Oliver and Yeva Sarmazian, Jack and Piper Foster, and Tessa and Marshall Fell.
Louise enjoyed many years of golf at Cutten Fields. She will be missed by her many friends within the Elliott Community. She was a longstanding member of the congregation at St. George’s Anglican Church, where she devoted many volunteer hours. Indeed, she spent most of her long life volunteering, right up until her last week. The garden birds, playing bridge, and spending time with family and friends were some of her favourite things.
See you later, Alligator. XO
