Margaret was born in Canora, Saskatchewan in 1927. At the age of twelve she moved to Windsor, Ontario where she subsequently met and married her husband Joseph. They shared 67 wonderful years together. After raising their family they moved to Guelph to stay close to all of their children. She was extremely proud of her family and loved staying in touch with the details of each and everyone’s lives.
Margaret was the definition of style and grace, and a most beautiful woman on both the inside and outside. She had developed many interests over the years and had become a bit of an expert in the collection of china and antiques. Her passion had become her show stopping flower garden and she cherished the company of her cat Gracie. She enjoyed walking the beaches of Florida to find prized shells, and had many wonderful trips to Las Vegas, Cuba with the entire ‘la famiglia’ and beyond.
A warm, kind and generous person to whom family was first, her poise and gentleness made her loved by many. She will be forever missed and always loved by her family and all who knew her.
A private family service will be held. Those wishing to make memorial donations in Margaret’s memory may do so to Salvation Army. Cards available at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 519-821-5077 or donations and condolences may be made online at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com
