ZAVARISE, Maria - Maria peacefully placed herself in God's hands on June 18, 2015. We pray for her joyful reunion in heaven with her husband Emilio (1984). Maria was the proud mother of three children and their spouses, Guglielmina and Luciano Capovilla of Guelph, Laura and Gregory Simmons of Guelph and Dino and Frances Zavarise of Burlington. Loving Nonna to Michael Capovilla, Brian and Courtney Capovilla of Guelph, Kyle and Erin Simmons of Kincardine, Eric and Danielle Simmons of Toronto, David Zavarise of Toronto and Sabrina Zavarise of Burlington. Maria was a proud Nini to three great grandchildren, Joshua, Michela and Mayah Capovilla. She will be missed and forever in our thoughts and mind recalling the richness and depth of our love and respect, and the life lessons she taught us. Born in Valla di Riese, December 3, 1925, Fausta Maria Andreazza was the youngest of 11 children, now all deceased. She was cherished by Rita and John Godin and family of Guelph and the generations of close relatives and friends in Canada, Italy and Australia. The miles never distanced her from her family. She will be remembered by them all. In 1953, she came to this country alone with her two young daughters to join her husband who had immigrated earlier. In Guelph she opened her heart and home to other newcomers. She was always grateful for the opportunities and the life her new homeland provided. Maria was known for her strong work ethic and Italian spirit. She was an incredible cook and gardener. Love of family and devotion to God guided her daily. In Memory - It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. A part of us went with you, the day God took you home. If tears could build a stairway, and heartaches make a lane, we would walk our way to heaven, and bring you back again.
