Mary Rena Reid

Mary Rena Reid (Visentin), 63, of Guelph, Ontario, suddenly passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at home. She was survived by her husband Corry Reid with whom she celebrated 28 years of marriage on Saturday, October 20, 2018. She was a loving mother to Melissa Kerr, Matthew Kerr (Alison Ledrew), Nolan Reid (Andrea), Benjamin Reid (Madelin), Brittany (Austin) Van Amerongen, and Brooke Reid. She was a loving Nona to Kapri Van Amerongen. Born in Guelph, Ontario, she was the daughter of Antonietta Visentin (Gatto) and the late Corrado Visentin. She was sister to Linda Visentin, John Visentin (Laurie), Mario (Tanya) Visentin and the late Reno Visentin. She was sister- in-law to Cheryl Garcia, Stephen Reid (Shelly), Stephanie (Mike) Chabot, and late Kim Draper and Lynn Patmore. She was a dear friend-sister to Trudy (Berry) Holst for over 50 years. She will be remembered by her aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and the many friends and clients she made throughout the years. She was a dedicated Personal Support Worker for over 10 years. Mary had a huge heart and will be greatly missed by all.

Family and friends will be received at Gilbert Maclntyre & Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, Ontario on Sunday October 28, 2018 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm with memorial vigil held at 3:30pm. A funeral mass will be held at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, 28 Norfolk St., Guelph, Ontario on Monday October 29, 2018 at 11:00am.
