DWIVEDI, Onkar Prasad— It is with heavy heart we announce the passing of loving husband and father, Onkar Dwivedi at age 76. As a young man who came to Canada in 1963 Professor Dwivedi fulfilled a lifetime of world accomplishments recognized by being rewarded the Order of Canada. Equal to his professional commitments was his philanthropy to giving back to the community and ensuring continued growth for his birth community of India by building both schools and a hospital servicing the under privileged. He leaves behind his wife Sarla, his children Prateek and Archana and four grandchildren, Samantha, Danielle, Nicole and Tara. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel. Private cremation for family and close friends to be held at Woodlawn Crematorium, 762 Woolwich Street, Guelph on Friday February 1ST, 2013 at 9:30 am. All are welcome to a celebration of his life to be held at War Memorial Hall at the University of Guelph on Sunday February 3 at 10:00 am.
