Robert E. Devlin

Devlin, Robert E. - Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital, on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Muriel. Loving father of Kim Harper and her husband George, Jane Devlin-Brandt and her husband Bill Brandt, Carol Devlin-Muir and her late husband Andrew, Brian Devlin and his wife Pat. Loving Grandfather of Tara and Erin Harper, Rebecca and Jason Brandt, Kyle and Aiden Muir, and Luke and Sam Devlin. Survived by his brother Gordon Devlin, and sisters Ruth Swartz, June Cox, and Jason MacKay. Robert was born and raised in Hanover and moved with his family to Guelph in 1970. He was employed as an officer of Ontario Correctional Services, until his retirement in 1991. He was an avid lover of lawn bowling, baseball, hockey, good times, good friends and laughs. Dedicated member of Branch 234 of the Royal Canadian Legion. A Memorial Service will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Private Interment will be held in Hanover.
