

Fraser, Robert (Robbie) Paul (aka Fuzzie)-- January 25, 1952-January 10, 2014 Robbie passed away at St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver, BC after a courageous year-long battle with health complications. He will be sadly and forever missed by his loving family and his large circle of friends. Robbie is survived by his siblings Malcolm (Suzanne) of London, Betty Ann Lazzari (Gary), Barbara Jean Shipp (Laurie) all of Guelph, Michael (Carole), Marie Cordes (Bob) all of Thunder Bay, Eugene (Barbara) and Gerry (Julie) all of Guelph. He is fondly remembered by his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and by his best friend Brian Mulvaney. Robbie was predeceased by his parents Leo Joseph Fraser and Helen Mary (nee Wood) Fraser, his loving sister Marlene Burke, her husband Dave Burke, their daughter Ashley Burke and his neice Claire Fraser. As a young adult, Robbie worked as an employee at the local Dominion grocery store in Guelph. In 1971, he moved to Vancouver and worked several years for the CPR, a career that afforded him the opportunity to travel the country and meet people from around the world. Always a people person, Robbie later found his passion working in the hospitality industry in Vancouver, where he continued to provide friendly service, a smile and cheer to others on a daily basis. After a brief two-year return to Guelph in the mid-eighties, when he worked as production manager at NoVick Machinery with his friend Noel McVicker, he returned to reside the remainder of his life in Vancouver. Robbie continued his adult life working in the hospitality industry. Throughout his life Robbie touched the hearts of many and he will be fondly remembered as a kind, loving and caring gentle soul. The family will receive family and friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre Funeral Home, 252 Dublin N. Guelph, ON, (519) 822-4731, on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 10 a.m. followed by a prayer service in the Funeral Home chapel at 11 a.m., with interment at Marymount Cemetery. The family invites everyone to join them at a luncheon reception to continue with a celebration of Robbie’s life. Donations can be made in Robbie’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Make a Wish Foundation or to a charity of one’s choice.
A Prayer Service will be held in the Dublin Chapel on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
