
McIntyre, Ronald Hugh- After a final weekend with his four children at his beloved Ipperwash Beach, we regret to announce the sudden passing of Ronald Hugh McIntyre on Sunday, May 8th, 2016. Born August 28th, 1935 in Midland, Ron was predeceased by his cherished first wife Ann (Riches) and is survived by his dear second wife Verna Lambie Webb. He is also survived by his nurturing youngest sister Judy and her husband Jack Nederpelt. His children Bruce (Rochelle), Jane (Peter) Ormond, Jim (Gwyn), and Barb (Joe) Clare will cherish his guidance, pragmatic view of life, and unconditional support. Ron was extremely proud of, and will be dearly missed by his thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Brian, Hannah, and Ian McIntyre; Andrew (Carolyn Ewing), Michael, Katie, and Beth Ormond; Kevin, Carter, and Emily McIntyre; Liam, Reece, and Ayden Clare. Poppy was blessed to meet his beautiful great-granddaughter Avery Ormond, three weeks prior to his passing. Verna’s children: Brian (Marla), David (Haki), and Jennifer (Bob) Fisk, and their children will remember Ron fondly. In June 1991 Ron was eager to retire after a thirty-two year teaching career to pursue his varied hobbies including, but not limited to: antiques, beachcombing, woodworking, sailing, model railroading, garage sale picking and award winning jam and jelly making. Poppy was at his happiest driving his pickup truck down the beach with his many grandchildren piled in the back enjoying the ride. He was a man who loved and was loved. Cremation has taken place and as per Ron’s wishes a private family celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, Guelph.
