Ronald Joseph Papillon

Papillon, Ronald Joseph (July 10, 1930 - December 19, 2010) Passed away peacefully, at his home, on Sunday December 19, 2010 with his wife and daughter by his side. Ronald was in his 81st year, beloved husband of 52 years to Florence Papillon, caring father of Cheryl Bell (John), Michael Papillon (Carol) and Brent Papillon. Ronald was the dear brother of David Papillon (Joan), the late Pauline Gordon (Fred) and the late Kenneth Papillon (the late Jackie), predeceased by his parents Archie and Ida Papillon, his father and mother-in-law Jim and Mary Gibson, and his best friend Patches. Ronald will be remembered by his brother-in-law Howard Gibson (Jessie) and Donald Gibson (Delores), his many nieces and nephews and also by his best friends Don St. Jules and David Keleher. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Tuesday, December 20, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma Street, Guelph at 10:30 a.m. A vigil for Ronald will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. Because of Ronald's love of dogs, donations to Guelph Humane Society, or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards are available at the funeral home 519-821-5077 or send condolences at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com).
