Sheila Willis

WILLIS, Sheila – Sheila Willis passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the age of 73 at Guelph General Hospital following a severe heart attack on August 16, 2009. Beloved life partner and soul mate of 42 years of Ellen Russell of Guelph. Sheila will be remembered and sorely missed by Ellen’s large Winnipeg family, Viv, Don, Irene, Brent, Cy, Maizie and families. She had many long time friends from field hockey, Crown Life and Glen Williams. She will be remembered and missed by her many newer friends in Guelph’s Village by the Arboretum, especially all those in the Theatre Group, Tree Talk, Ladies’ Billiards, Tennis, and many others. Sheila is also survived by relatives in Palm Springs, California, and in Australia. A special thank you to Margaret, Merv, Joanne and other Villagers for helping Ellen through this very difficult period. Thanks are extended to Sheila’s Critical Care nurses at Guelph General Hospital whose compassion and kindness were a great comfort. Visitation will be held at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 1-2 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Private Interment will take place at a later date.
