WILSON, Thomson Alexander "Tom" - It is with great sadness that Tom passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Guelph General Hospital. Tom, at the age of 65, was the loving husband and best friend, to Barbara (Brown) for 40 years and devoted father to James (Christine) of Toronto, and Michael (Lisa) of Thunder Bay. Adoring Poppa to Aidan, Emma, and Brandy. Beloved son of Anne, predeceased by his father Alex (1976). Dear nephew of Aunts Helen of Guelph, Jean of Parry Sound, and Bernice (Russell) of Halifax. Will be sadly missed by cousins Bob (Pauline) Halcovitch and John Blackburn, sister-in-law Alice Brown, nieces Kelly, Tracy and Tammy and best friends, Paul Priest, Paul and Billie Teeter. Tom had retired as Captain from the Guelph Fire Department, after 30 years of service. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 1 - 2 p.m. A Celebration of Tom's Life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. As per Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place.
