Our beloved mother and grandmother passed onto her next journey on June 4, 2021 in her 92nd year. She left this world as she lived within it, with courage, honesty and love. Her last morning was filled with soft music and comfort. Velma was predeceased by her sons Ted and Robert Jr., her parents Charles and Myrtle Nicholson and brother Gordon. Left to grieve her loss are her daughter Linda, her granddaughters Ashley and Alexandra, Ashley’s husband Erik and Alex’s partner Tom. She is survived by her sister Shirley and her family. Her special friends Kit and Cathy were always in her heart. We extend our appreciation to those who cared for her at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, especially to Dr. Chris Stemerdink, Nurse Practitioner Hawley Munro, and Recreation Staff Victoria and Karie. Their compassion will forever be remembered. Cremation has occurred. We will celebrate her life daily. In Velma’s honour, please take a moment to notice a flower, watch the birds or pet a dog.
