

Barbara Jeanette (Green) Francisco (1952-2024)
Barbara Jeanette Francisco (née Green) passed away on January 23, 2024 in Lindenhurst, Illinois. She was born in 1952 in Chicago, Illinois and was 71 Years old.
She was a resilient and determined woman, known for her kindness, nurturing, teaching, and selflessness. Her family was always very important to her. She took care of her siblings, children, grandchildren, and others who were in need of comfort, care, and security. While working full time, she also taught her girls how to camp, bake, sew, craft, and enjoy cultural attractions. She took pleasure in attending many of her grandsons’ events, and proudly supported their interests, skills, achievements and military service.
Throughout her life and professional career, Barbara was a Navy and Air National Guard spouse, Brownie Scout troop leader, Osco Store Manager, Trak Auto Parts Store Manager, Supply Chain Manager for a hospital, Director of Purchasing for a nursing home company, and a Purchasing Executive for an industrial firm. She held a PMP certification, earned a Bachelor of Arts from Western Illinois University, and a Master of Business Administration from North Central College, all while working full time and caring for her children and husband.
Barbara lived in the Chicago suburbs for most of her life, and moved to Pennsylvania in February of 2000. She outlived all expectations for a heart and kidney transplant recipient, and bore each new challenge with strength and courage. She returned to Illinois to be closer to family in January of 2018.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Norbert Frank Green and Barbara (Skinner) Kovach, brother David Moberly, sister Deborah (Green) Salisbury, husband Clinton E. Francisco, Jr., and her partner Albert DiSanto.
She is survived by her daughters Vanessa (Francisco) Fleenor and Angela (Francisco) Butler, sons-in-law David Fleenor and Kevin Butler, her grandsons Conor Butler, Aaron Francisco, Aiden Butler, Steven Fleenor, and Clinton Butler, great-grandson Caulder Butler, her siblings, Richard Moberly, Mark Moberly, Cheryl (Moberly) Aricioglu, Tim Moberly, and Ginny (Moberly) Linker, and a large and loving extended family and close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 28, from 12:00 – 2:00 at Marsh Funeral Home in Gurnee, Illinois.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Mount Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mount Rose Ave, York, Pennsylvania 17403 in the coming weeks.
