Christopher Alan Villarreal

Christopher A. Villarreal, age 53, of Waukegan, Illinois passed away on Friday, June 16th, 2023 at Vista Medical East. Chris was born on April 3, 1970 in Waukegan to Santiago and Lillian (Montoya) Villarreal. He was educated in Waukegan and graduated from Waukegan East High School in 1988. Chris married Shirley Hughes in Waukegan in June of 1989. The couple had three children together. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends.

Chris is survived by his parents, Santiago and Lillian; three children, Christopher J. (Giovanni Caamano), Krystol and Elliot (Leslie Brumbaugh) Villarreal; two grandchildren, Christopher E. Villarreal and Drew Jones-Villarreal; two brothers, Rene (Maria) Villarreal and Eric (Annette) Villarreal; half siblings, Rolando Ayala Jr., Eric Ayala, Yara Ayala and Vanessa Nieves; 5 nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Julian, Nickolas, Sophia and Evan, as well as other family and many friends.

Friends and family will gather for a funeral service for Chris that will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 24th, 2023 at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 North Cemetery Road, Gurnee, Illinois. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
