Liz, Bertha, Joe and Carlos!  During my search for Liz on Facebook, I found this obit, and it broke my heart.  Your Mother was a Lady through and through, and I will never, ever forget her kindness, warmth, and incredible sense of humor.  She took me in on Christmas Eve in 1979 when I was alone and heartbroken and even made sure I got a Christmas gift.  You have an incredible family.  God Bless all of you. This past Mother's Day you were in my thoughts.  You were like a second Mom to me.  Always thoughtful and caring. I will always remember the good times we had at our get togethers for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel with our Club "Las Tres Flores". We reminisce and lost track of time. The good laughs and just spending time  together are memories I'll never forget. You will be in my heart forever.

Grandma, I have gone over and over in my head on what to say and it all comes back to me being blessed.  Blessed that I have had you in my life for 28 years, blessed that you were there through all my childhood memories, blessed that you were there to see me walk down the isle, and blessed that you were able to see your great-grandchildren.  I will always cherish your family values and pass them on to my children.  I miss you sooo much, but knowing that you are now my guardian angel puts me at ease. You need not worry anymore, our family has a strong bond, and we owe it all to you.  I love you so much and some day we will be together again.

Everytime I see your picture or think about you my heart breaks, but then I remember how extremely lucky I was to have  you in my life for almost 27 years. You taught me many valuable things especially the importance of family. I got my passion for cooking from you. I also received my toughness and stubborness from you. 81 years in this world and you made it a better place with your heart and your smile. I'm thankful for all those times you made me choco milk when I was a kid even though lisa used to steal it and hide behind the couch and drink it. Amongst the many core values I attained from you in the last 24 years, the one thing that I will always reminisce about and cherish was your toughness. You were a true fighter from beginning to end. I always marveled at how the smallest and sweetest woman in the room could command the most power and respect. You were a true matriarch, the leader of a family that seems to get larger by the day, thanks mostly to the Caraballo offspring. You had the ability to melt someone’s heart with love and generosity and at the same time rule with an iron fist, this uncanny ability is a feat that seems impossible to obtain. How you did it I will never know but will forever appreciate. Your true adoration of your family is one sentiment that will live on forever through the future generations of our family.
