Deborah J. Soder

Deborah Jean (nee Gill) Soder, 57, of Gurnee died August 8, 2010 at her home. Debbie was born October 30, 1952 in Bethesda, Maryland to William and Helen Gill, both preceding her in death in 1988 and 1990 respectively. On May 27, 1978, Debbie married Theodore (Ted) Soder. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2002. Debbie was a loving mother to her two sons, Ted and Douglas, and foster mother to Cody (Sarah) Wilde, devoted sister to Diana (John) Contario of Maineville, OH; Carol Hebert of Libertyville, IL; Cindy Gill of Gurnee, IL; Bill (Kim) Gill of Gurnee, IL, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Debbie will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her contagious laugh, and the compassion she held for others. She gave 30-plus years of devoted service to Vista East Hospital as a Pediatric RN, Debbie also enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. She loved animals and held a lifelong appreciation for art. Debbie was an active member of St. Patrick's Church in Wadsworth, IL and she especially enjoyed participating in her Bible study group and "Light of The World" retreats. Visitation will be held at Marsh Funeral Home, Gurnee on Friday August 13 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at St. Patrick's Church in Wadsworth on Saturday August 14 at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville. Flowers and monetary donations to St. Patrick's Church in Wadsworth, IL are welcome.
