Dolores Marie Hill

Dolores Marie Hill (nee Olson) mother and grandmother, peacefully passed away on April 22nd, 2023, at the age of 94. Dolores was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 5th, 1929, to the late parents Noble and Clara (nee Swanson) Olson.

Upon graduating from Foreman High School in Chicago, Illinois, Dolores worked at Illinois Bell. Through mutual friends, Dolores met and married her late husband, Owen Leonard Hill in 1951. Together they had four children; Carla Chick, (late John), Bradley Hill (Darlene), Patricia Thornborough (Tracey Mallamaci), and Richard Hill (with friend Alison Laughlin).

She was also a proud grandmother to her grandchildren Korynn Snidar, Richard Hill Jr., Scott Hill, Andrew Thornborough, Stuart Thornborough, and step-grandchildren, Stephanie Mallamaci and Anna Mallamaci, three great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dolores is preceded in death by siblings Noble Olson, Louise Glemaker (Alfred), Warren Olson (Mary Alice) and Beverly Ryan (Tom). Dolores was an avid dancer, love to travel with friends and enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint.
