
Dorothy "Dottie" McKay died peacefully Monday October 3, 2011 at Sunrise of Gurnee. Born Dorothy Graff May 20, 1920 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, she moved to Waukegan and lived there most of her adult life. She worked at a floral shop in Waukegan and at Montgomery Wards, but the majority of her work experience was at Abbott Labs. She retired from her customer service job there in the 1970's. She enjoyed travel and especially loved a good dame of cribbage. She was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Wesley Berg and by her husband of 10 years, William McKay. She was the last surviving sister of Ollie Graff of Oshkosh, Wis., Anne (Graff) Wendstadt of Menomonie Falls, Wis., Albert Graff of Anaheim, California, and Mary (Graff) Aspatore of Waukegan. She is survived by her only son, Gary Berg, his wife Mary Beth (Trenkle) Berg, and her granddaughter Margret (Berg) Miller and her husband Justin Miller, and her granddaughter Kara Berg. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 6 at 9:00am at St. Dismas Church in Waukegan, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Burial Ascension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dottie's name to Alzheimer's Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60601. Arrangements by Marsh Funeral Home of Gurnee.
