

Eileen Schlosser, age 90, of Kenosha, formerly of Waukegan, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Eileen was born on February 19, 1935 in Waukegan, IL to Joseph and Hazel Longley. She graduated from Waukegan High School in 1954 where she met the love of her life. Eileen was united in marriage with John Schlosser on November 26, 1955 in Waukegan. She worked for a number of years at Sears in the candy counter and as a switchboard operator. Eileen spent the majority of her working life as a special education school bus driver, for which she was very proud. Her and John were members of the Moose Lodge and with the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her time spent with John, especially traveling, cruises and their love of square dancing. They even square danced across Lake Michigan and back. She enjoyed golfing, playing euchre and bowling as well. Her greatest joy, was spending time with her family any chance she could.
She was preceded in death by, her parents; her husband, John and two sons, Michael in infancy and Mark.
Eileen is survived by, her daughter, Cathy (Gary) Hunt; four grandchildren, Courtney (Matthew) Pierce, Matthew (Jazmin) Hunt, Janelle (Tom) Judt and Travis Schlosser. Eight great grandchildren, Michael, Matthew Jr., Nathaniel, Alessandra, Joshua, Ryan, Sophia and Jack. Her brother, Jerry (Maria) Longley as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A visitation for Eileen will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Marsh Funeral Home (305 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL) from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:00am with interment to immediately follow at Millburn Cemetery (18577 W. Millburn Road, Old Mill Creek, IL).
