It’s been 6 years since you’ve been gone! It seems like it was just yesterday because we never stop thinking of you! Here is a picture of Jovanni and I! Can you believe how grown up he is now! It's been one year since you left us and went to heaven. We sent some beautiful red roses to you today. I know you love red roses. The lady was going to send some fake silk flowers and I said no way! My grandma only likes real, beautiful things! I'm sure you laughed about that. We took my mom out for dinner at one of your favorite places tonight. Red Lobster! She had some fish for you:) Although our hearts are aching because you're not here I know you want us to be strong and happy. You're unconditional love and kindness will never be forgotten. Now  we know how to love and be kind just like you because of what you've showed us. I'm holding onto all the fun and wonderful memories we had together. I know you're ok in heaven and you aren't afraid. We will keep doing the things you loved to do with us in your memory. Our trips to Maine, Washington and NYC I'll always hold close to my heart. Hi Grandma,
Tomorrow will be 1 yr since you left us and went to heaven. It's still so hard to believe your gone. We missed having you around for Thanksgiving, Christmas and our birthdays. Every time we get together at my moms I think about you calling and wish I could hear your voice again. I'm thankful for all the wonderful memories we had together but I'm sad we won't have anymore. I wish you were here to see my new classroom and to meet my students because I know you'd be so proud of me! All your praying for me to get a new job worked! Jovanni and Bianca are getting so big! You'd be proud to see how handsome and beautiful they've both become. Jovanni will be going to high school this year! Can you believe it! It makes me sad knowing you won't be here to see him graduate but I know you'll be watching from heaven. I wish I could've told you so much more before you left. I'm sorry I told you that everything would be ok. I know you didn't want us to be sad or worried about you so you stayed so strong for us. You were so strong and it helped me be strong. 
My mom really misses you a lot! We try to remind her about all the fun times we had together and to cherish those memories. We had a nice, loving long life with you and we need to appreciate that. I know you're holding all those beautiful little kids from newtown close to you. You're probably combing and braiding the little girls hair like you used to do with us. 
Anytime I'm feeling overwhelmed, I light a candle and talk to you because I know you will always be here to help me! I know you are watching over our family. Tomorrow Bianey and I will go visit my mom and maybe even take her to red lobster for you!! We sent some beautiful red roses for you tomorrow. Grandma,
I know you were dancing in heaven for your birthday! We missed you a lot but we know you were with us and smiling from heaven. We celebrated your birthday by doing the things you loved. Every time we talked about you the blue butterflies you liked flew all around us. We knew it was you sending us a sign. We will be visiting you tomorrow and I'm so happy about that!    Today, I thought about you so very often.  I don't know why.  Little memories would creep into my thoughts about different times I spent with you and your family, when I was very small. I'm so happy that you came to visit me in my dreams a couple nights ago! You looked so young, happy and beautiful! Thank you for letting me know you're ok and you do know how much we love you! A couple days ago I was sitting on my porch wishing I had one more day with you then I walked to my car and a huge beautiful butterfly was waiting near my car. I knew it was you showing me you're still here with us. Then last night, I was talking to my friend about you telling her how much we miss you and a shooting star flew across the sky! I knew that was from you grandma! We miss you terribly and wish you were still here but I know your in a better place and not hurting anymore. I love you and think about you all the time! In my heart I felt you today.  I was passing some beautiful flowers when I saw a tiny little hummingbird.  It was hovering over a bird of paradise flower.  I knew in my heart that it was a sign that your love is still with us. Your beautiful smiling face came to my mind as soon as I saw the hummingbird and flower together. Grandma you were deeply missed yesterday. I lit a candle and put your picture in my kitchen so I could look at you and talk to you through the day. I made Easter dinner for my mom this year and we had a good time together. I know you wouldn't want us to be sad and
Would want us to celebrate. I know you're happy in heaven and you are smiling down on us. I have to be happy for all the good times we had together rather than be angry that god chose to take you away from us. He just needed a grandma that had a heart filled with gold that's why he took you. I think about you everyday and some days are sadder than others. You always told me to take care of your daughter and I promise you that I will.
I know that you are still with us and watching over us because you are now one of God's Angels. I just want to thank you for all the love you showed me over the years and I miss you dearly. I remember one moment when we were having the big tree next to the house being taken down and you peeked out the front door and looked up at the tree and then at me with a cute expression on your face and I will always remember it. I was talking to a friend, Janet, at the board of realtors the other day. Telling her stories of the time I spent with mom at the hospital in Houston. The way she made me laugh and run, while Aunt Isabel laughed as she watched her gas me........ 
Then the way she zipped in and out of her hospital bed. One nursed told her to slow down Francisca, she replied, "I'm speedy Gonzalez, I do everything fast! The nurse told her ok Miss Gonzalez slow down just a little...She is so cute, mom told us she wants to go dancing when she gets out of the hospital and she's 78 years old.  I Love her, I told Janet.
     Janet looked at me with a smile and said "she's so lucky, she lived until she died". I had to stop and think about it. 
     Mom, she is right, you did live until you left us.
Rejoice you are in now Paradise Mom ! !
Dance Mom, you are in Paradise ! ! !
I will wait until you hold my hand again in Heaven Mom.

I wish I could of said goodbye one last time and got to tell her how much I love her but she made me a strong women today and her guidance and prayers led me to have a great life. My grandma touched the hearts of everyone she knew and her smile and laughter could light up a room and cheer you up instantly she had the most beautiful smile. She was the bravest and strongest women I knew and to have her as my grandma was a blessing and a reward. I have so many stories and adventures from times with my grandma that would fill up a dictionary. Ive always looked to her for guidance and now she's in heaven watching and praying for everyone to have a safe life and when I was little she used to make me say prayers before I went to bed and prayers to keep me safe before we left I love her and she had a wondeful life

Yesterday I went to your favorite breakfast place Tony's! I was getting sad going there without you and looking at the booth we always sat in but I know you'd be happy I went there. I told Tony's wife you have gone to heaven. She expressed her condolences to our family and she said she always remembers how happy you were every time you went there. I'm going to all the places you loved to eat and remembering all the fun times we had. I'm glad you liked a lot of good places because I will never stop visiting them because I think of you! Francis was my Mother-in-Law. I have a lot of fond memories with her. I remember she was so proud to have her first Grandson. She threatened to steal "Mijo" (my son, aka Sammy) and move to Mexico unless I proimsed to live close to her until he was grown. She loved all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Everyday I hope your happy and ok.....until the other night you came to me in my dream. It felt so really. We were at the hospital and you were getting ready for surgery.
