

Gerald (Jerry) H. Pilcher is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Karen Pilcher, two daughters Lynn (Dave) Olson of Sun Prairie, WI, and Karla (Jim) Rung of Lake Villa, IL, five grandchildren, Parker, Ally and Kyra Olson, Paige and Kendall Rung; sisters Betty Dietze of Aurora and Judy Avery of Plainfield and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, F. Hugh and Ruth Pilcher and his brother Jim Pilcher.
His passion was Model A Fords and he spent as much time as he could working on his hobby. He was a member of the Chain O’ Lakes Model A Club and the co-founder of the Exchange Club of Gurnee. He was an insurance agent for Country Financial for 36 years and a member of the Village Church of Gurnee. He served in the US Navy on the ship, the USS Edson and spent time at sea with his brother Jim.
All who knew him, knew of his love for people and his family. He loved talking to people he had never met, nobody was a stranger. Because of his friendliness and generosity, he touched many people’s lives.
Services and Interment will be held privately.
