Jean D. Paddock

Jean Delores Paddock (nee LeClerc), 81, passed away surrounded by family and friends on March 20, 2012. Jean was born May 5, 1930 and was a lifelong resident of Lake County, a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Waukegan. Jean was a singer in her High School years. She sang at USO events and at three local churches. Jean was co-owner of The Golden Nugget Inn in Gages Lake from 1964-1973. Jean was a dear mother to Sharon who passed away in 1970 and Karen Paddock of Gurnee. Jean adopted Sharon's Children Charles and Laurie and was a dear mother to all. Jean was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon in 1970; her father Napolean LeClerc in 1970 and her mother Elsie LeClerc in 1995. Jean is survived by her daughter Karen Paddock of Gurnee; Charles Paddock (Jamilah) of Waukegan, and Laurie Paddock of Indianapolis; grandchildren Patrick Paddock of Chicago; Darius, Cyrus, Quincy, and Jasmine Paddock of Waukegan and a very dear friend Michael Leppen of Glencoe. Visitation 5-8pm Thursday March 22 and 10-11am Friday March 23 at Marsh Funeral Home of Gurnee until time of Funeral service at 11am. Burial will be at Warren Cemetery in Gurnee, IL.
