John G. Bloom Jr.

John was the beloved husband of the late Joyce Elaine Bloom, and proud father of Chuck (Romie) Bloom (Wadsworth, IL) and Criste Bloom-Collins (Wadsworth, IL). He enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren, Dale (Julia) Bowser (Grayslake, IL), Derek (Mary) Collins (Round Lake, IL), Amanda (Nate) Sousa (Chicago, IL), Tori (Jason) Mieure (Bristol, WI), Troy Bloom (Milwaukee, WI), Teja Bloom (Mundelein, IL), and three cherished great-grandchildren, Rocco Bowser, Maisy Mieure, and Millie Mieure.

Longtime resident of Wadsworth, John built his home there with his wife where they raised their family. John was a proud veteran serving in the Air Force in the Korean War, and worked for ComEd for 34 years. He was a proud member of the Gurnee American Legion.

Visitation: Friday 3-8 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee. Life Celebration Service: Saturday 10 AM at the funeral home, followed by interment at Millburn Cemetery.
