Heartfelt condolences to all the family.  I am remembering Mr. Pinter who always took his favorite place at daily Mass at St. Ferdinand. Very sweet recollection.

Joe is the perfect role model for any man who desires to be a great husband, father, grand father or great grandfather. He was a patriot, comedian, mentor and friend and can only hope that the rest of us take what he taught and showed us and apply it to our lives, our families and friends. From lottery tickets, $2 bills, stories, kidding around or the love he gave us all, his motivation in life was to do the right thing and to love, help and share with us all. As a father-in-law, he was also a special friend. I hope we all use the lessons he taught us and share and treasure those memories we have of him.

I remember as a kid being in the car with Grandpa, stopped at traffic lights, and he would claim he had the power to make the light change colors. He'd count "1,2,3" and then, as if by magic, the traffic signal would change from red to green! It wasn't until years later that I realized his trick. Grandpa Joe was full of wonderful surprises, stories and jokes. He made childhood exciting for all his grandchildren, and kept us laughing until the end. I will treasure my memories of him dearly.

Though we did not know Joe that well, the number of times we did get to see him at family functions showed him to be a man who loved his family and had a quiet sense of humor. we know he will be missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. Papa Joe will always have a special spot in my heart as he has been a second father for me. I will always remember the kindness and love he always shown to his grandchildren, Mike, Sarah, Christine and his daughter, Sheila and to me his son-in-law.  Love ya, Dave.
