Margaret F. Carlson

Margaret F. Carlson, 88, from Gurnee, Il passed away on October 1, 2012. She was born on November 21, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Edna Salmon. She was a member of First Christian Church of Gurnee, IL and retired as a bookkeeper for Ace Hardware in Waukegan, IL for 20 years. The greatest joy in life has been family. Her survivors include; 2 sons, Steven of Gurnee and Rowen (Carol) Carlson of Round Lake Beach; 2 daughters, Karen (Michael) Boerma of Pinckney, Michigan and Lauren (Robert) Tomasiewicz of Kenosha, Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren, Cally (Matt) Smith, Christopher (Shelly) Carlson, Kathryn (Dana) Larsen, Brianne (Jeff) Young, David (Terri) Tomasiewicz, Jason (Shelly) Carlson, Kati (Eric) Espeland, Jaime (Joe) Rybak, and Elizabeth (Tim) Carlson; one stepgrandchild Sherri (Dave) Huffman and 16 great-granchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Stig I. Carlson, one infant daughter, Barbara, one sister Esther, one brother Tom and grandchild Jesse Carlson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 4 to 6 with a memorial service immediately following at 6pm. Burial private at Northshore Garden of Memories.
