Maria E. Vigil passed on October 3, 2026, at the age of 52. She was born in Waukegan, IL to Jose and Maria Elena Vigil. Maria E. is survived by her husband, Hilario Casanova; three children, Omar Cazarez (Heather Leigh Burton), Jessica Cazarez (Andy Garcia) and Natalie Cazarez; three grandchildren, Ezekiel, Ezra and Aurora; her father, Jose Vigil; and two sisters, Elizabeth (Rodolfo) Vigil and Silvia (Noe) Avila. Maria was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Elena Vigil.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031, US, on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Most Blessed Trinity Parish; Holy Family Catholic Church, 450 Keller Ave, Waukegan, IL 60085, US, on October 24, 2026, at 10:00 am.
Burial of ashes will follow at Ascension Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Rd, Libertyville, Illinois, on October 24, 2026, at 11:30 am.
