Mary Jane Seymour

1953 - 2015

Age 62, of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, August 18th at Vista Medical Center East. Mary Jane is survived by her two children, Kenneth Seymour of Lindenhurst, IL and Samantha Walters (Ryan) of Grayslake, Illinois, whom she was very proud of and loved more than life itself. She is also survived by her three sisters-in-law (who were more like sisters): Esther Vogentiz (Victor), Sam Seymour-Jensen, and Brenda Seymour; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as close, long-time friends: William and Vickie Mattson, Mary Ann Gedvilas, Judy Petika, and the residents of Glen Lake Terrace. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Kim Seymour, to whom she was married for nearly 30 years, as well has her parents Kenneth and Mary Klopf.

Mary Jane worked as a nurse for over 34 years at what is now Glen Lake Terrace in Waukegan. Her hobbies included caring for her cats (Milo, Gizmo, Merlin, Bobo and B.K.), doing crossword puzzles, watching television, playing scratch-off lottery tickets, and fine dining. Her wit and compassion will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, August 29 starting at 2:00 pm at Yorkhouse United Methodist Church, 37768 Green Bay Rd. in Beach Park.
