Patrick D. Leuer

Patrick "Pattyboy" Leuer, Age 57, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family July 14, 2013 in Gurnee, Illinois. He was born on March 2, 1956 in Aurora, Illinois. Patrick was a 1974 graduate of Kaneland High School and Aurora University with a medical technology degree. He married the love of his life Jo Ann on June 25, 1983 in Cooperstown, New York and was employed by Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago for 31 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann; two children, Ryan and Sara Leuer (fiancé Neil Jamin); his mother, Marie Leuer; siblings, Yvonne (late Bill) Keifer, Yvette (Jim) Hogan, Tim Leuer, Mark (Fran) Leuer, Dan (Sherry) Leuer, Kathy (Bob) Herrejon, Steve (Anna) Leuer, and Lisa (Rick) Reuter; many nieces, nephews and a truly wonderful set of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, John E. Leuer; his grandparents, Martin and Elizabeth White and Peter and Kathryn Leuer; two uncles, Father Mark Leuer, and David Leuer and a brother-in-law, Bill Keifer. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Marsh Funeral Home of Gurnee at 7pm with a visitation from 3-7pm. Burial will be private.
