

Paul Rudzinski, 89, passed away on August 26, 2015 peacefully with his family by his side. He was born on May 27, 1926 in Waukegan to William J. Rudzinski and Klevopa Lingus. He attended Waukegan Schools and served in the U.S. Army WWII and the Battle of the Bulge receiving a purple heart. Paul was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Waukegan Council #731 and served as Grand Knight, 3rd Degree and was a member of the 4th degree. Paul was the chairman of the tootsie roll drive for many years and was a past chairman of the KC Wheelers. Paul was a civil servant for 40 years as a barber at the Great Lakes Naval Base. In his youth Paul worked for the New Sun and had a paper stand at Washington and Genessee Streets. Paul is survived by his beloved wife Patricia of 66 years; daughter Patricia, son's William, Gary (Cathy), Kenneth (Esther); granddaughter Amber (Jeremy); three great-grandchildren; sister Susan Kaires (Gerald); many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; son Victor James, sister's, Jenny (Robert) Kochom and Barbara (Jack) Kilger and his two beloved cats, Spencer and Rudzy. Visitation will be held at Marsh Funeral Home on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 5 to 8pm and 9 to 10am on Saturday, August 29 at St. Dismas Catholic Church, 2600 Sunset Ave. Waukegan Illinois, with a funeral mass following at 10am. Burial at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
