Rachel Busch

Rachel Busch longtime resident of Libertyville Rachel Busch, 47, died at home Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011. Rachel died after valiantly fighting ovarian cancer for over a year, with her husband James "Randy" and family, who sacrificially stayed by her side until the Lord took her home. Rachel was born Feb. 24, 1964, in Elmhurst, to Francesco and Santella DeNinno. She devoted her life to helping others by acquiring her RN in1985, her MBA in 2003, and just recently her MSN in October 2011, and worked as both nurse and instructor. Rachel and Randy have been together since 1980 and were married on July 23, 1988. Rachel loved to travel and especially cruise with Randy and her family, and was in awe of God's creation. She dedicated her life in sharing her faith in Jesus Christ with those she loved. She had attended St. Gilbert Church in Grayslake. In her final months, she received the benefit of unwaivering support from her family, including her mother, Santella; her aunt Stella (Daniel) Danza of Cotton, Minn.; her mother-in-law, Sharyn (BiIl) Andress of Phoenix, Ariz.; and her father-in-law, Frank (Kristie) Busch of Homestead, Fla. She was preceded in death by her father, Francesco DeNinno. She is survived by her husband, James Randall Busch; her children, Lauren Nicole Busch and Frank Nicholas Busch; her mother, Santella DeNinno; and her brother, Michael DeNinno (Cindy). She also had many aunts, uncles, brothers-in law, nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly. A memorial will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 Cemetery Road, Gurnee, and a celebration of her life will be held Sunday, Nov. 13 from 1 to 3 p.m., at Maravelas in Fox Lake.
