Ricardo R. Moreno Sr.

Ricardo R. Moreno Sr.,Age 86, passed away surrounded by his family on June 17, 2013 at Vista Hospital in Waukegan IL. He was born on November 27, 1926 in Laredo, TX to Ricardo and Leonor Moreno. He is survived by his sons, Ricardo Jr. and Juan Manuel Moreno; grandchildren, Ricardo and Sophia Moreno, Jeana and Joe Kim, Juan Miguel Moreno (Marlene), Carlos Moreno, Melissa (Demetre) Selevredes; 10 great-grandchildren; and loving nieces and nephews and their families; friends, Joe and Nancy Mendez; and all the rest of his many special friends! Preceded in death by his parents, Ricardo and Leonor Moreno; his wife, Virginia; and daughter, Irma Moreno; sisters, Julia, Natalia and Carmen. He worked at Abbott for 34 years. He loved to spend time with family and all his friends, he enjoyed practicing and teaching martial arts in Zion, IL. He loved the Lord and along his spiritual journey he had drawn closer to God! And always shared his faith. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 20th, 2013 from 5-8 at Marsh Funeral Home in Gurnee. Funeral services will be held at Marsh Funeral Home Friday, June 21st, 2013 starting at 11 am followed by Interment at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
