Richard Elsworth Bricker

It is with great sadness that the Bricker family announces the passing of Richard E. Bricker of Grayslake, IL. He died on Monday, February 28th surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Peoria, IL on Jan. 31, 1951. He served honorably in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute and went on to apply his mechanical skills in a variety of different applications. Richard enjoyed traveling, listening to music (oldies), and cheering for the White Sox or Chicago Bears. Richard was generous with his time and resources and took pleasure in helping others.

He was married to his beloved wife, Jeanne, for 42 years. He was the loving father of Lauren. Richard was one of 10 children and is survived by his brother, Robert, and sisters: Linda, Diane, Cindy and Millie.

There will be a visitation at Marsh Funeral Home in Gurnee, IL on March 20th from 3-8pm. A service will be held at 11am on March 21st at the funeral home, with a burial service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s, Richard’s favorite charity.
