Russell C. Wells

Russell C. Wells, 65, of Waukegan, Illinois passed away on June 17, 2016 at home surrounded by family. He was born on June 4, 1951 in Waukegan, Illinois. He was a 1969 Waukegan High School graduate. His business partnerships were with Grand Bowl in Waukegan, O’Leary’s Public House in Chicago and Evergreen Golf Course in Elkhorn, WI. Russell is survived by his wife, Kathleen of 41 years; daughters, Melissa (Scott) Metzelfeld and Rachel; “Pa” to Myles and Sadie Metzelfeld; brothers, Roger (Linda) and Bruce; sister, Carolyn (Peter) Dorhout; mother-in-law, Natheen Rajala; brother-in-law, Terry (Patty) Rajala; sisters-in-law, Sandra Rajala, Eileen (Keith) Meyer, Jennifer (Tim) Boehle and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Shirley Wells; two sisters, Marilyn Wells and Cheryl Cluck and father-in-law, Clarence Rajala.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 2 to 8pm and Wednesday, June 22 from 9 to 10am with a funeral service following at 10am at Marsh Funeral Home. Pastor Michael Bullmore will officiate. Burial at Avon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations or memorials to the charity of your choice in Russ’ memory.
