Sadie P. Abney, age 92, of Vernon Hills, Illinois passed away on Monday, November 13th, 2023. Sadie was the beloved wife of the late George Abney; loving mother of Bob (Maxine), Michael (Ruby), Gary (Tricia), and Cheryl (Axel) Knauz; cherished grandmother of Sara, Nick, Michelle, Sabrina, Gary Jr, Greg, Matt, and Bonnie, great grandmother of 10; dear sister of Joe, Andy, and Tom Bentivegna. Sadie was preceded in death by her parents Nunzio and Rosalie Bentivegna and 7 siblings. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Friends and family will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial for Sadie that will be held on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St Mary of Vernon Catholic Church, 233 Highway 45, Indian Creek, Illinois 60061. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
