Steven R. Stroud, Sr., 56 of Gurnee, IL, loving husband to Julie (nee Stone). Devoted father to Steven, Daniel, and Joel. Survived by his mother, Sandra J. Stroud of Crown Point, IN; sister Diane (Christopher) Hastings of Leander, TX; brothers Jim Stroud of Chicago and John Stroud of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his father William Stroud. Steve was an information technology project manager, enjoying a 23 year career at the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits of the United Methodist Church. An active 18 year member of Village Church of Gurnee. Coach at Upward Basketball at Faith Church in Grayslake, IL and Warren Youth Baseball in Gurnee, IL. Supporter of Christian education as his children attended both Westlake Christian Academy in Grayslake, IL and Christian Life School in Kenosha, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Village Church of Gurnee. Visitation at Village Church of Gurnee on Monday, March 31 from 4 pm – 8 pm. Visitation at Village Church of Gurnee on Tuesday, April 1 at 10 am, followed by church service at 11 am and graveside service at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
