William H. Oesterreich, 84, beloved husband for 64 years of Lynda nee Gerber; loving father of William E. (Jean) Oesterreich and Laura (Glenn) Peters; cherished grandfather of Malynda (Tim) Milner, Joshua (Kelcy) Oesterreich, Gregg (Cara) Peters, Daniel (Cristal) Peters and the late William J. Oesterreich; great grandfather of Liam, Tucker and Gavin; dear brother of Judith (late Richard) Desmedt; fond uncle to many. Bill's biggest contribution to this world was his very strong faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Bill was not afraid to share his faith with others. Bill and Lynda maintained a loving, Christian home, bringing up two children in the Christian Faith. Bill was a lifelong, active member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and most recently a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Gurnee, IL. Visitation Wednesday, May 11, 9:30 AM until time of funeral service 11:00 AM at Bethel Lutheran Church, 5110 Grand Avenue, Gurnee, IL 60031. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 12, 11:00 AM at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1735 S. Camp Butler Road, Springfield, IL 62707.
