Judy Talmadge was born March 2nd, 1938, to James and Florence Rannazzi, in Brooklyn. In the early 1960s, she and her husband Bill moved from New York City to a charming house in Wayne, New Jersey, where they made their life.
The couple welcomed their son, Joseph, into the world in 1964, and in 1969 they adopted their strawberry-blonde daughter, Stephanie, into the warmest and most loving of homes.
Judy will be remembered as a bright light by everyone she knew, each for their own special reason. Her husband will remember her for over six decades of steadfast companionship; her children will remember her as a boundless source of maternal love; her grandchildren will remember the countless songs she taught them, walks she took with them, and moments she shared with them. Various members of the community will remember her as an avid tennis player, caring speech therapist, and witty friend.
But she will be remembered most of all for perhaps the two most important qualities of a life well-lived: her inimitable embrace of all that is worth cherishing, and her unparalleled strength and courage in the face of suffering.
She is survived by her husband Bill, her children Stephanie and Joseph, her son-in-law Brad, her grandchildren Allison, Marco, Daniel, and Alexis, her older sister Bernice, and her younger brother George and his wife, Linda. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Florence, and her older brother Frankie and his wife Helen.
She was the epitome of compassion, class, and resilience. We who loved her have much to mourn and much to remember.
A Funeral service will be held at Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, located at 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ, 07601, on October 16, 2025 at 12:30 pm.
