He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carol, sons Steven and Allan (Jodi), grandchildren Morgan and Alexa and sisters Harriet and Shelley.
Born in Boston, he graduated from Tufts University and Tufts University School of Medicine.
He trained as an anesthesiologist at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center where he remained for his entire professional life, retiring as Professor Emeritus in Anesthesiology in 1999.
Interment will be at Mt Moriah cemetery at 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
