Gloria Hausman

Born in Paterson, NJ, Gloria was married to Herbert Hausman for over 40 years until his death in 1993. She spent many years working in the women's fashion retail industry and volunteered for various Jewish organizations, notably the National Council for Jewish Women.

She was an avid reader, cook, and shopper well into her 90s, as well as a friend to many. In her later years, Gloria enjoyed taking Yiddish classes and attending book clubs. She was the family matriarch hosting holidays and family celebrations throughout the years.

Gloria is survived by her 3 daughters and her son, Ellen Cooper, Barbara (William) Meile, Jane (Robert) Zirpoli, and Michael (Simcha) Hausman; 7 grandchildren, Alison Cooper, Sam Cooper, Billy (Nicole) Meile, Matt (Alex) Meile, Eric Meile, Olivia Hausman and Hailey Zirpoli.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Herbert Hausman, her brother, Hy Satkin, her nephew, Jeffrey Satkin, and her grandson, Peter Meile.

A chapel service for Gloria will be held 1:00pm, Monday, April 11th, 2022 at Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601. Following the chapel service will be an interment at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652.
