Born and raised in Bethlehem, Pa, Mr. Simon lived in Teaneck for 48 years.
Mr. Simon graduated from Gettysburg College in 1941. He went on to serve in the Army as a Major during W.W. II in the 11th Armored Division. He was among the liberators of the Mathausen in Austria.
Harry enjoyed playing Golf and was a Board member of End D.W.I in Bergen County, NJ.
He is survived by his loving wife Eleanor of 68 years, his son Paul of Columbus OH, his daughter Beth Simon and her husband Bruce Koehler of Franconia, NH, his daughter Pnina Swed of Brooklyn, NY, 2 grandchildren Ana and her husband Doug Silbert, and Rabbi Mendel and Dassie Segal, 3 great grandchildren Levi, Donni, and Sorah Segal.
Funeral services will be held today at 11:00am Gutterman-Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park St, Hackensack, NJ 07601. Interment will follow Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, NY.
