Born in Brooklyn, NY, on March 24th, 1934 to Samuel and Sara Bodin, he grew up helping his parents in their candy shops in Brooklyn. He attended Tilden High School and spent his early years driving a yellow taxi cab through the streets of New York City.
While vacationing in Puerto Rico, Ivan met Linda, his wife of 51 years. Together they built a beautiful life in Oradell where Ivan founded a commercial window cleaning business that he proudly ran for 41 successful years. Known for his strong work ethic and dedication, he built not only a successful business, but a legacy of hard work and determination.

After retirement, he enjoyed spending countless hours in the yard and staying active at the gym. His cat Lady became one of his greatest joys and most cherished companions. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend — a true family man whose greatest purpose in life was caring for and providing for the people he loved.
Ivan was predeceased by his beloved wife, Linda and by his sister Florence. He is survived by his sister Judy; his daughter Sheryl (Phil); his two sons Richard (Liz) and Sam (Jessica); and his four cherished grandchildren Maxwell, Eliana, Victor and Gemma.
