Joyce Cohen

Cohen, Joyce (nee. Harris) a resident of Englewood Cliffs for over 55 years died December 8th at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Fred Cohen. Devoted mother of June Veenstra & fiancee Stan Farber of Wayne, NJ, Adam Cohen & his partner John Merriman of Roxbury, NY and Saul & his wife Patti Cohen of Vermont. Cherished grandmother of Daniel and Robyn Veenstra, Jennifer and Joshua Cohen. Dear sister of Rochelle Du Boff. Joyce she was born and raised in brooklyn and married Fred Cohen in 1952. She belonged to ORT of Northern NJ where she was an active member for many years hosting many of their functions joyce was an animal lover and took care of many dogs and cats (many of them strays) which brought her great joy. Joyce was also an extremely involved mother and grandparent. She could always be counted on to support everyone in so many ways too numerous to count.

Funeral service will be held 11am on Wednesday December 11th at Gutterman and Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, N 07601.

Friends may begin to arrive at 10am for ample time to pay respects to the family.

Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Saddle River, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce’s memory to: ORT.
