

Levine, Leonard—born May 12, 1933 in Paterson, New Jersey, died on January 15, 2015. He spent his early years in Passaic and was a graduate of Passaic High School, where he was a member of the State Championship Football Team. During his time in the army he was stationed in Greenland. A graduate of Panzer College, he went on to a career at the New York City Department of Human Services. Beloved husband of Lydia Gonzalez Levine, who survives him, cherished brother of Miriam Levine Lane, sorely missed stepfather of Judy Castello, Elisa Brodick, and Francisco Gonzalez, he will be remembered for his generosity, keen interest in politics, and wonderful sense of humor. Survivors include his brother-law, John Lane, and nephew, David Lane, as well as cousins and grandnephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Gertrude Jacobs Levine and Joseph Levine, long-time residents of Passaic.
Leonard served our country as a US Army Veteran.
The funeral service will be held 11am on Sunday January 18th at the Riverside Cemetery, 12 Market Street, Saddle Brook, NJ 07662.
Those attending should meet 10:30am at the cemetery's office and at 11am the cemetery's foreman will escort us to the grave for the service.
