Marcia Altman (Cole), of Monroe Township, NJ, passed away on December 25, 2025. Marcia was married to her soulmate Mel for 60 years. She was the loving mom of Felicia and Brian, mother-in-law of Scott and Jen, adoring grandmother of Benny, Ethan, Elliot, Hannah and Matt, sister-in-law of Diane and Mort, and proud aunt of Scott and Robin. Marcia was predeceased by her parents Esther and Howard Cole, and her brother Richard Cole.
Marcia played many roles in her lifetime -- wife, mom, Grandma, friend, soccer coach, acoustic guitarist and master of the English language. She blazed trails as a working mom in her two-decade career as a human resources director. Marcia was also an avid reader and walker and loved to laugh. She treasured the lifetime of summers spent with family at the New Jersey shore, especially the Surf City beach house. And she was lucky to spend over a decade in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina where she and Mel enjoyed their retirement. She will be missed.
A funeral service will be conducted Sunday December 28, 2025 at 11:30am at the Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah, Cedar Park and Beth El Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652.
